Sandra and Melanie enjoyed a rich and meaningful trip to Regina in February as part of Saskatchewan Indigenous Storytelling Month in connection with the Regina Public Library and University of Regina. They offered a keynote presentation and film sharing of Just Breathe, Okâwîmâwaskiy at the University of Regina with beautiful support from local communities and Elders for the event. As well, Sandra offered a storytime reading of her new book Pêyak Little Duck with book signing opportunities at the Regina Public Library, and Melanie shared a research presentation at the University called “Learning And Unlearning Through Artistic Collaboration: Developing (Re)Conciliation Practices With Land, Self And Community” with the support of the VP Research Office at University of Regina.
