In preparation for Pride events, TRAction co-lead Chantal Chagnon has been invited by the Wood Buffalo First Nations Pride Society to offer a Drum Making Workshop for 2SLGBTQ+ youth during the Athabasca Tribal Council Cultural Festival in September 2025. Well-known for her skills in teaching drum-making, the group asked Chantal to travel to Wood Buffalo and support the youth in their efforts to gain skills in crafting Indigenous drums. After having offered drum-making in the Calgary community since 2008, Chantal is happy to share her knowledge with the Wood Buffalo youth and support their pride efforts in all ways. Chantal will also be speaking, performing and sharing Indigenous Knowledge, Culture and Teachings throughout the Festival.
