Procession for End Times is an annual art action taken by the art collective TRAction. Drawing volunteer participants from around Calgary, Alberta including scientists, physicians, academics, former politicians, students and a variety of artists, Procession for End Times draws attention to the climate and ecological crises and the inaction that surrounds these crises. Through a slow and sombre march on the pedestrian thoroughfares of Calgary (the headquarters for oil and gas extraction in Canada), the project marks the parts of nature we are losing – whether it be old growth forests, clean air, sea ice, or evidence-based information.
In 2023, the fourth procession acted as a protest against the World Petroleum Congress being held in Calgary, Alberta.
